How it works
Set up in under 2 minutes.
Add your child
Create a child profile in seconds. Pick their age group and Kiddox recommends the right settings automatically.
Pair their device
Show a QR code from your phone. Your child scans it on their device. Done. No accounts, no passwords to remember.
Set rules in 3 taps
Pick an app, choose Block or Time Limit, save. Or use Quick Setup to enable 4 recommended presets in one tap.
Features
Built for real families, not demos.
App-level blocking
Block TikTok, YouTube, or any app entirely. Not just the website, the actual app. Apple's Family Controls makes it tamper-proof.
Smart time limits
Set daily caps per app. "30 minutes of Roblox per day" actually means 30 minutes, not 30 minutes of screen time that somehow becomes 2 hours.
Schedules that make sense
Allow YouTube only from 3pm to 8pm on weekdays. Block all games during school hours. Set it once and forget it.
4-tier safety protocol
Known harmful sites blocked instantly. Unknown sites get a 30-minute grace period, then auto-block if you don't respond. Safety-first, always.
Safety layers
Three layers of protection.
No single tool is enough. Kiddox stacks three independent layers so if one misses something, the next catches it.
Layer 1: Network enforcement
Apple's NEFilterDataProvider blocks apps at the OS level. Tamper-proof. Child can't disable it without your passcode.
Layer 2: Domain classification
61,000+ domains classified. Cloudflare Radar checks unknowns in real-time. AI batch-classifies the rest every 8 hours.
Layer 3: Platform safety guide
Enable YouTube Restricted Mode, TikTok Family Pairing, and 5 other platform controls. Kiddox walks you through each step.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does my child need an Apple ID?
If your child is in your iCloud Family Sharing group (under 13), Kiddox uses Apple's Family Controls, which is the most secure option. If not, a VPN-based fallback mode is coming in Phase 2.
Can my child bypass the rules?
In Family Controls mode, no. The rules are enforced by Apple's OS at the network extension layer. Your child cannot disable them without your Screen Time passcode.
Does Kiddox see my child's browsing data?
No. All filtering happens on-device. Kiddox sees domain names for classification but never decrypts or stores your child's traffic content. Privacy-first by design.
What about Android?
Android support is built (VpnService + DNS proxy) and will be available alongside the iOS launch. The parent app works on both platforms.
How much will it cost?
Pricing will be announced closer to launch. The waitlist gets early access and a founding member discount.
